Diabetic Retinopathy and Diagnosis

This is a common eye condition among the Diabetic population. In diabetic people as the blood sugars levels are high, this tend to cause damage to the blood vessels with in the retinal tissues of the eye. Due to this damage the blood vessels may leak or swell or they permanently get closed blocking the blood supply which results in blurred vision, poor night vision and finally leads to vision lose.
Early diagnosis can prevent the majority of Diabetic Retinopathy complications so it is important for people with Diabetes to get their vision check regularly, however in the advanced cases Focal laser treatment  or photocoagulation are performed in which the damaged blood vessels are sealed off their leaks.
