Biography
Tara Moore is Director of the Biomedical Research Institute and Group leader for Vision Science research in the School of Biomedical Science at Ulster University. Tara graduated from Queen’s University of Belfast in 1994 and in 1997 with a PhD in Immunology and Virology. Over the past 10 years she has built a team of researchers with the one common goal of improving both diagnostics and therapeutics for diseases of the eye which ultimately can result in blindness. Tara has a successful track record of obtaining grants to fund her research. She is associate editor and reviewer for a number of eye related journals and consistently publishes her research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Tara was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship for developing an online PGDip/MSc Cataract Refractive Surgery course for Ophthalmologists and eye care specialists.

Biography
Nikolakopoulos Athanasios Born and resident of Thessaloniki, Greece. He is Graduated from the Aristotelio University (Greece)–Medical Department. He did his postgraduate studies (fellowship) at the Hospital of Addenbrook Cambridge England on the retina diseases with Mr J.D.Scott, on glaucoma with Mr J.D.Cairns and on inflammations with Mr P.Watson. Attended Moorefield Eye Hospital on Lasers in Ophthalmology and on the retina surgery of Giant tears. Attended the Rotterdam Clinic Center with Rellyo Zivojnoviz, as a representative of the Cambridge Hospital. He is also senior registrar at Adenbrooks Hospital, organized and directed the Retina department of St.Dimitrios Hospital of Thessaloniki and he became Director of Retina clinic of St.Dimitrios Hospital. Nikolakopoulos Athanasios was the former president of the Greek Ophthalmological Federation and The Greek Vitreoretinal Society.

Biography
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1987 and specialized in Ophthalmology (1992). In the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre, performs clinical and surgical activities in the Department of Surgery of the Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery. He is also head of the Department of Cornea Conservation in the Eye Bank for Treatment of Blindness. He has received several awards and distinctions at national and international level, among which the "Award for best presentation of the session at the American Society of Refractive Surgery and Cataract (ASCRS) in San Francisco (USA), in the year 2003.
